Verb or Noun?
While sitting on a park bench with my best friend, cousin, and husband, discussing the messaging I wanted to share with the world, I knew I wanted to share what I had learned, what I love, and my story. It was then my best friend shouted, “How to Queen with Arlyne!”
Yes, I am fully aware the queen is typically used a noun. To be exact, Merriam-Webster defines queen as, “a woman eminent in rank, power, or attractions.” I decided it was time to take that a step further, and put this word into action as I found myself using it with my friends and family whenever they accomplished or shared something that made them happy.
The Arlyne Marella definition of queen is, “to live your life in a way that makes you feel happy, confident, inspired, successful, and grateful.”
Those who know me know that there are a few key drivers that help me stay a queen in my life. My husband, my animals, my family, and my love for fashion and cosmetics. While I queen, I need to make sure I feel like one on the inside and the out. I’ll be sharing what that looks like in my life and hope to inspire and motivate others to confidently “Queen” like Arlyne!
A Little About Me
About 2 years ago my career started to take off in a way I never thought was possible. This let to my sharing my story on LinkedIn with my professional network. The response was overwhelmingly positive and allowed me to connect with people from all over the world and share a bit more about how I got to where I am today. It was then that I realized I had a message to share with others on what it is like to struggle and succeed, all while still feeling fabulous and staying true to yourself.
I was born and raised in Southern California by the original queen, my mom. She is one of my main sources for inspiration, and my continuous support system.
I currently live in Ventura, California with my wonderful husband and three fur children. I was fortunate enough to meet my wonderful husband almost 10 years ago when we were in college. Over the years this man has believed in, motivated, and supported me to be the queen I am today.
I hope that everyone is able to grab something from this blog in a way to help you find your motivation, drive, and inner queen.
